DONNA TATE

Chief Executive Officer

A native of Washington, D.C., Donna moved to Atlanta in 1975 to pursue a career as a civil servant for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Her current profession is insurance and financial services. Donna's passion and enthusiasm are to empower people about health issues, particularly HIV/AIDS. An urgent need exists to help the homeless, and Donna collaborates with grassroots organizations to raise funds and donations, that are distributed on the street, and donated to community based organizations. She is the recipient of the 2005 Community Service Award from Healthcare Georgia Foundation and is the
Chairperson of the Veterans Mental Health Advocacy Council. Ministry activities include being the past Chairperson of the Embrace the Healthy Temple health ministry of the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church. Donna is the proud mother of three children and five grandchildren. As Chief Executive Officer of C.U.I., her role is to carry out the strategic plans established by the Board, as well as provide direction and leadership towards the achievement of C.U.I.'s mission, goals and objectives.

CHINESTER GRAVES

Chief Operating Officer

Chinester Graves is a native of Belzoni, Mississippi. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1988. She received her undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management (B.S.)and a Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA). Chinester's passion is advocating patient rights and to empower individuals about the importance of health literacy. She is a member of Breaktrough Outreach Ministries located in Stone Mountain, GA where she is board president of the Evangelism Ministry. Chinester is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Chinester is married, the mother of three grown sons and has one daughter-in-law. Chinester is a founding member of C.U.I.  and active for 11 years. As Chief Operating Officer for Community Unification Initiatives (C.U.I.)and acting Executive Director; Chinester will ensure the organization is in compliance with 501(c) regulations and generally accepted standards, secure grants, ensure active and continuous fundraising, and operate with strategic planning as a tool for success. Chinester has served on several Community Boards such as: Veterans Mental Health Advocacy council member at the V.A. Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Emory University School of Medicine Citizens Advisory Board and Hope Clinic, volunteer member for the Citizens Advisory Board, HIV/AIDS Research.

HASAN CARMICHAEL

Social Media Coordinator

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Hasan Carmichael moved to Atlanta in 2011 after graduating from Alabama state University Summa Cum Laude with a degree in chemistry. He began his career as a chemist at the Center for Disease Control and prevention, while simultaneously pursuing a career in music. Hasan’s passion is to empower people to gain financial independence and time freedom. He is Co-founder of Atlanta 36 mastermind group & one of the founding members of MCS realty.  He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity inc. Hasan is the proud father of one son. As social media and youth liaison of C.U.I., his role is to establish a social media presence while organizing a plan to bridge the gap between our organization and the youth of our community.
